¡ô Supplier: |
ITACA |

¡ô Composition: |
100% Organometallic
Complex of Ruthenium(¢ó)
5~10% Ru(¢ó)
90~95% Aqueous Solution |
|
¡ôMixing
Proportion: |
Vehicle: Glycol Based Preparation
6.2%
Binding Agent: Polysaccharide 4.7%
For example: 1000 gram of Dark Black Soluble Salt
+ 62 gram of Vehicle + 47 gram of Binding Agent |
|
¡ô Preparation: |
| 1. |
Add corresponding Binding Agent
(4.7%) in certain proportion of Vehicle
(6.2%), mix them until there aren¡¯t any clotting. |
| 2. |
Add Soluble Salt, shake and mix all the
materials until they are well-balanced. It
needs about 15-30 minutes. |
| 3. |
Lay it aside for about 2 hours at least.
Then it can be used. |
|
|
¡ô Application: |
| 1. |
Dissolve the Penetrating Agent
(powder) in water using the proportion of
10-15%. |
| 2. |
Apply the Soluble Salts on the dry normal
body and wait until the salt is dry. Spray
the solution of Penetrating Agent on the normal
body 2-3 times. According to the normal body
it needs 175-250 grams per square meter.
For example on a piece of 400 X 400 mm2:
400 X 400 ¡Ö 0.16 m2
If you prepare to use 200 g/m2
then
0.16 m2 X 200 g = 32 g/pc (90% water + 10%
Penetrating Agent) |
|
|
¡ô Point: |
En resume, using the solution of
Penetration Agent by Rotocolor system or screen
printing techniques can enhances the penetration
and definition of soluble colors. (For some clients
they prefer to use only water in order to reduce
the cost but of course it cannot gain the same effect.)
Recommendation from our supplier is: increasing
the solution will enhances the penetration; increasing
the proportion of Penetrating Agent (powder) (eg.:
from 10% up to 15%), will enhances the definition
of the colors but will reduce the penetration of
soluble salts. So the proportion must be controlled
according to the effect expected.

¡ôApplication:
Because the Soluble Salts of Pink, Red, Violet contain
gold they are more difficult to penetrate into the
normal body than the other soluble salts we need
to follow the two manners:
| 1. |
For the second fire: |
| |
The normal body is a little soft before
the first fire, which is not suitable for
the penetration of the Soluble Salts of Pink,
Red and Violet, so for the big porcelain tiles
such as 600X600, 800X800, 1000X1000, etc.
we can follow the above application after
the first fire, then apply the soluble salts
and go along with the second fire. Then you
can get the effect you want. |
| 2. |
For the first fire:
Use the Penetrating Agent to get the same
effect:
| 1) |
Try the best to increase the water absorption,
for example: from 18.5% up to 21%, or
higher. |
| 2) |
Dissolve the Penetrating Agent (powder)
in water using the proportion of 10-15%. |
| 3) |
Apply the soluble salts on the dry
normal body and wait until the salt
is dry. (Dry normal body refers to the
total piece and not only the surface.)
At the end of the printing line, spray
the solution of Penetrating Agent on
the normal body 2-3 times or more. It
is better to spray it when the normal
body is dry since last time spray. According
to the physical character of the normal
body it needs 175-250 grams per square
meter. For example: for the piece of
600x600 m2 is about 150~200 gram. |
| 4) |
Prolong the time before the piece
load to the kiln. That means after spraying
the solution of Penetrating Agent lay
the piece longer for drying before firing.
For example: you can do some tests:
lay the piece aside 30 minutes, 3 hours,
12 hours, 24 hours then see the different
effects after polishing. |
